The Jackson Symphony Music Academy offers quality instrumental and/or vocal instruction for students in their own communities, free of charge. Centers are currently open in Carroll, Crockett, Gibson, Haywood, Henry, Obion, and Weakley counties.

The JSMA Youth Orchestra is for serious young musicians who play any orchestral brass, woodwind, percussion, or string instrument. By introducing exciting literature, the orchestra challenges students to develop to their fullest potential while playing exciting literature.

The JSMA beginning string group, Camerata Strings, is for students learning to read music and playing for at least one year. Sinfonia Strings is for intermediate players to challenge themselves and further their skills.

The JSMA Children's Choir offers choral training for 4th - 12th grade students to develop their vocal and performance skills in a professional, group setting.
